POSITION SUMMARY
Performs second level of coding review prior to billing. Audits documentation quality indicators such as Office of the Inspector Generals (OIG) fraud targets, PEPPER reports, HAC and other quality measures. Generates reports and reviews findings with Medical Staff, Administration, and other disciplines.
EDUCATIONAssociates Degree in Health Information Management required and RHIT certification (or eligible to sit for exam). CCS required.
EXPERIENCEThree to five years ICD-9CM and ICD-10, and CPT-4 coding experience. Excel spreadsheet, Access database and PowerPoint experience a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS- ICD-9CM, ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
- Knowledge of encoder software
- Report writing skills
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to relate to people and work closely with physicians as well as make decisions

The salary listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay Range: $39.33 - $49.16 per hour.
