CNA - Weekend - PT - Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation

Job Summary

Provides each of your assigned patients with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the patient's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor.

Non-exempt status. May be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Subject to callback during any emergency.

Reports to Charge Nurse.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA Diploma from an accredited program required and as evidenced by primary source of verification.

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• BLS preferred.

• Lifts up to 10 lbs: occasionally (charts, supplies, items).
• Lifts 11–25 lbs: occasionally (soiled linens).
• Lifts 26–40 lbs: occasionally to frequently (assisting ambulatory patients).
• Lifts over 40 lbs: frequently (transferring non‑ambulatory patients 100–160 lbs, often with two aides).
• Carrying similar weight ranges; reaching above shoulder height (4 ft); pushing/pulling 20 ft.
• Grasping and handling: frequent while transferring or documenting.

Blood pressure gauge, thermometer, and other standard nursing supplies.

Tasks may involve potential or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious disease, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals. May encounter hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, associates, and visitors.

Must be on feet continually throughout the day. Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and use a transfer belt are required for patient safety. Other nurses are available to assist with heavier patients as needed.
