Job Description

Every Rifle Middle School student will achieve and sustain a trajectory of positive academic growth and receive the supports needed to contribute productively to the RMS community because we exist to nurture and effectively teach the whole adolescent child to be prepared to take their next steps.

Position Summary: Responsible to plan, organize and implement an appropriate English Language Arts instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Responsible for working effectively with a team comprised of paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents and District office staff with the purpose of providing quality educational services for each and every student, each and every day, without exception.

Status: Full Time, 36 Hours Per Week, 165 Days Per Year

Salary Range: In District Experience $44,731-$123,977
;
No in district experience $44,731-$67,102

Path 2 – Long Term Substitute: Only requires a sub license and you would receive on the job training.

Path 3 – Apprentice Teacher of Record: If you are interested in completing your bachelor's degree and becoming a teacher, the Colorado Department of Education is partnering with the Department of Labor to create a Teacher Apprentice Program. This program is aimed to allow aspiring teachers to earn their bachelor's degree while gaining on the job training.  for more information
