Purpose of Job:
To perform a variety of administrative duties to assist the Principal/Assistant Principal in managing the school; assumes the duties of the Principal or Assistant Principal in the absence of the Principal/Assistant Principal and as assigned. To provide on-site direct support to the site staff and students in the overall management and operation of the school, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
Assist with a wide range of tasks, including overseeing student discipline and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Essential Functions, Duties and Major Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, supervision, operations, and accountability of the academic and non-academic duties of school personnel
- Collaborates with the school leadership for the efficient operation of school facilities and programs
- Serve as an instructional leader by monitoring implementation of professional development and instructional efforts according to the school improvement plan, policies, and procedures
- Implement and monitor metrics for behavioral expectations and policies including monitoring attendance trends and overseeing truancy interventions; address safety and welfare issues by holding meetings with parents, investigating incidents, documenting findings, contacting proper authorities, and conforming to legal requirements and regulations
- Collect and analyze data from all assessments and diagnostic instruments and develop strategies for intervening with students who are experiencing difficulties with the focus on academic improvement
- Lead the staff in intensive data analysis and results and goal planning
- Comply with and enforce standards of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other federal and state laws concerning privacy, confidentiality, and reporting
- Model a variety of instructional strategies designed to be rigorous and mirror assessment
- Perform indirect supervision of employees including serving as an instructional leader assigning and directing work, interviewing, evaluating performance, disciplining, and resolving issues
- Mentor new teachers and assist in the orientation of new employees
- Assist as needed with parent conferences and all involved personnel regarding attendance or disciplinary problems
- Coordinate support services to ensure student progress toward the fulfillment of graduation requirements
