The Help Desk Technician’s role is to provide customer support and technical assistance to customers using software, hardware, or other computer systems. Support and technical assistance can be provided by telephone, chat, email, ticket, remote access, or in-person help.

• Field incoming requests from customers by telephone, email, or ticketing system in a professional and courteous manner.
• Handle routine issues such as password resets, new network user account creation, updates to network access, email distribution lists, workstation, printer, copier, scanner, telephone, or hardware repairs.
• Document all pertinent customer information including name, department, phone number, and problem nature.
• Document help desk problem solving processes and activities in ticket.
• Perform post-resolution follow-ups.
• Maintain equipment inventory and asset tagging.
• Install desktop software applications as needed.
• Create or maintain desktop image.
• Apply Microsoft patches, antivirus, and Safe End protection to workstations.
• Prioritize and escalates problems to appropriate technician as necessary.

• Associate’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in a similar role preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows and MAC operating systems.
• Some application support experience, including virus protection and remediation of infected workstations, preferred.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience preferred.
• On‑call response required within one hour at Grand River Hospital District, 501 Airport Road, Rifle, CO.

Our total rewards package includes:

• Pay Range: $20.43 - $29.76/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
