Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department

FT, evenings

• Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data including health history and results of examinations.
• Work in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients seen in the Emergency Department, order, interpret, and record results of clinical tests, and report results to physicians and other departments.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and specialists regarding transfers and admissions when appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
• Participate in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects.
• Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Active American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications are required upon hire and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment. ATLS certification is preferred but not required. 3 to 5 years working experience in an Emergency Department and/or clinical setting in a similar role preferred.

• Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active Colorado Physician Assistant licensure required.
• National Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA preferred.
• Master’s Degree in area of specialty preferred.

• Requires active Colorado Licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on RN licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.

• $72.00 hourly rate.
• Weekend hourly rate of pay will be $78.00.
• Holiday hourly rate of pay will be $91.00.
