Social Worker in Rifle

Support and empower K-12 students as an onsite school social worker in a vibrant educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to foster positive change for students and collaborate with dedicated educators through the academic year, from August to early June.

• Active Colorado Teaching License (CDE) is required
• School Social Worker (SSW) or Counselor Endorsement is mandatory
• Experience working with K-12 students is highly valued
• Strong communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to student well‑being

• Provide social‑emotional support through counseling and group interventions for K-12 students
• Partner with school staff to assess student needs and create individualized support plans
• Address issues such as attendance, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Facilitate connections to community resources for students and families
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential student records
• Act as a resource for staff on mental health and social development topics
