Our client, a leading manufacturer in the powersports and outdoor recreation industry, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This position plays a key role in supporting customers, dealers, and end users by delivering exceptional service across phone, email, and chat channels. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced call center environment where problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail are essential.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring consistent attendance and a commitment to providing a high-quality customer experience.
Job DescriptionAs a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with products, orders, warranties, returns, and general inquiries. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution while maintaining a professional and positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat in a professional and timely manner.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for product, technical, ordering, warranty, return, and exchange questions.
- Assist customers by providing product information and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Create and maintain customer accounts and accurately update customer records.
- Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues, determining appropriate solutions, and ensuring successful follow-up.
- Process and manage customer orders, including order entry, confirmations, scheduling, adjustments, and fulfillment coordination.
- Manage workflow effectively while meeting customer expectations and delivery deadlines.
- Handle escalated or challenging customer interactions using professionalism and de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of products, policies, systems, and service procedures.
- Analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service and customer satisfaction.
- Support internal teams and contribute to departmental goals and process improvements.
- Provide occasional showroom support when business needs require additional coverage.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience in a phone-based, in-person, or customer-facing environment.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (WPM).
- Experience working in an office environment using standard computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience using multi-line phone systems or working in a call center environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge quickly.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with spreadsheet software and CRM systems.
- Ability to interpret instructions and make sound decisions within established processes.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Professional customer service experience in an office, call center, or business-to-business environment.
- Experience supporting customers through multiple channels, including phone, email, and live chat.
- Interest in or knowledge of powersports, motorcycles, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, or outdoor recreation products.
- Experience working with order management, warranty administration, or dealership support processes.
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve customer service processes and customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and customer support software.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems independently.
