Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assure the clinic maintains standards of pharmacy practice equal to or above those accepted by professional ethics and federal/state regulatory agencies.
- Provide in‑service training for pharmacy personnel or other clinic personnel on pharmaceutical issues.
- Perform the duties of a pharmacist, including dispensing prescriptions and counseling patients on their medications.
- Review charts per Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) requirements.
- Assure the maintenance and safekeeping of pharmacy records.
- Utilize and supervise pharmacy technicians as appropriate, with final responsibility for staff work.
- Delegate duties or activities to staff only as allowed by law, policies, and procedures.
- Provide appropriate instructions/education for pharmacy staff.
- Maintain accurate records of all narcotics and other controlled substances as required by federal and state law.
- Oversee the clinic medication formulary.
- Maintain a cost‑effective pharmacy inventory.
- Supervise ordering of medications and supplies within the guidelines of the clinic formulary.
- Administer sliding fee schedule as appropriate for the pharmacy.
- Place medication orders for routine and special orders as warranted.
- Provide drug and pharmacy information to medical providers and other clinic personnel as needed.
- Multi‑task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Maintain confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Perform all duties in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Idaho Pharmacist License.
- Current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Pass a background check.
- Experience in retail pharmacy.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and Microsoft Office applications.
- Evidence of no communicable disease.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in both English and Spanish in a business setting.
- Experience with 340B eligibility inventory management.
- Familiarity with Pioneer Rx and Athena electronic health record systems.
- Must occasionally stand, walk, climb, balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach with hands and arms; grasp and hold.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Work in an office setting. The job may be stressful; moderate noise levels; potential exposure to electrical shock, fumes, or airborne particles.
