Training Coordinator

This position will support Operations Management in maintaining and ensuring all training and safety activities are completed on schedule. This person will be responsible for monitoring employee training needs and requirements by scheduling, tracking, executing, or coordinating the training. Conduct and support safety audits, assist in any accident or near-miss investigations, and track completion of follow-ups as needed. This position will directly or indirectly support the process of training related to new production processes and new employee onboarding.

  • Lead and coordinate the skills certification process, including progress reviews, validation, testing, and tracking.
  • Assess training needs by department, shift, and role; develop action plans and support supervisors in closing training gaps.
  • Lead and deliver training for new or changed processes, equipment, and job transfers using approved documentation and hands-on methods.
  • Evaluate employee training readiness through established certification processes and conduct audits to ensure compliance and training effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement of training programs, documentation, and standard work.
  • Support safety initiatives, including orientations, rule implementation, hazard analyses, accident investigations, audits, and participation on SRMP/safety teams.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWI), One Point Lessons, Two Points of Control, LOTO procedures, and support machine guarding and LOTO audits.
  • Support shift communications, recognition activities, huddles, communication boards, and ideas/suggestions processes.
  • Participate in coordinator meetings, internal audits, and complete additional assigned duties related to training, safety, and team morale.
  • Maintain accurate and timely training recordkeeping within the LMS and SharePoint.

High School Diploma and/or Associates degree preferred

  • Solid computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel, LMS/Alchemy)
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Must be willing to attend off-site training as required
  • Ability on a daily basis, walking, standing, crouching, lifting (25-35lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching
  • Must complete OSHA training as required

Areas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.
