Job SummaryAs an Ace Hardware Clerk, you will be an essential part of our retail team, assisting customers with their hardware and home improvement needs. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Examples of Duties- Greet and assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Restock shelves and ensure that products are neatly arranged and easy to find.
- Provide product recommendations and advice based on customer needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing merchandise.
- Assist with receiving shipments and restocking inventory.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Basic knowledge of hardware and home improvement products.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills.
- Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for retail environments.
- Customer Service:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers. - Attention to Detail:
Precision in processing transactions and restocking shelves. - Organization:
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized store environment. - Problem-Solving:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. - Teamwork:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hardware and home improvement products.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
