Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with SPED students
• Skilled in providing interpretation services for students who use wheelchairs
• Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver sign language interpretation for a high school student in an adaptive classroom setting
• Ensure clear and consistent communication between the student, teachers, and peers
• Collaborate with classroom staff to provide comprehensive communication support services
• Assist in facilitating classroom participation, access to curriculum, and social interactions
• Respect center-based (onsite) work per student/parent request-no virtual services
