This position will be responsible for engineering related activities at a power generating plant. This position is responsible for providing plant technical support and developing long-term plans and budgets to maintain and improve equipment performance. Power Generation Engineers manage capital and O&M projects, follow prescribed procedures and conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations for structures, systems and components. This position is accountable for providing technical direction and troubleshooting for plant electrical and mechanical systems.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing ongoing inspection and evaluation of equipment and for determining the appropriate direction on design and performance improvements, upgrades, and other modifications. This individual will be a troubleshooting resource for operations and maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide outage/project management, project budget management, long term maintenance strategies and technical support to the plant
• Develop 5- & 10-year capital budgets and justification for associated capital projects
• Provide monthly accruals and budget variance explanations to the Financial Analyst
• Utilize computer business tools to develop and justify budgets, write work orders, order material, develop project schedules, and monitor equipment
• Initiate, troubleshoot and review root cause analyses for system equipment failures
• Work with Client Services, OEM's and system owners at other plants to stay current of any upgrades or concerns that affect the plant and communicate these needs to plant management, corporate management, and peer groups

Education:
• B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited program/institution is required
