Position Summary

The Customer Support Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers and the Rincon manufacturing plant, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication throughout the order lifecycle. This role supports customer satisfaction by coordinating order status updates, resolving issues, and partnering closely with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Logistics to meet customer commitments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, deliveries, and product information.
  • Provide timely updates on order status, production schedules, and shipment timelines.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns with professionalism and urgency.

Order & Process Coordination

  • Enter, review, and maintain customer orders accurately within internal systems.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning, Engineering, and Shipping to ensure customer requirements are understood and met.
  • Support resolution of order discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality concerns.
  • Assist with customer issue resolution, including warranty-related inquiries and service coordination as needed.
  • Track open customer issues and follow through to closure.
  • Escalate complex or urgent matters to appropriate leadership when necessary.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Field Services, and Plant Operations to support customer commitments.
  • Participate in internal meetings related to order review, production planning, and customer priorities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication records.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer support, order management, or administrative roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in power, electrical equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with production schedules, shipping logistics, or order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience supporting technical or engineered products.
