Job Overview
Savannah River Mill is looking for a Logistics Shift Supervisor. The Logistics Shift Supervisor role is a key leadership position that provides direction to crews operating the Logistics area. Through leadership, clear expectations are set and crews and individual team members are held accountable for results in operational areas including Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Compliance, Reliability, Quality, Production and Cost.
The successful candidate will advance our culture by ensuring the team is capable, aligned, and behaves consistently with our PBM Guiding Principles. The position pays $27.00 hourly and works 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world‑class operation. Five of the world’s 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility, and over 35 converting lines produce tissue, towel, and napkin products primarily from recycled fiber.

- Lead and mentor team members to apply PBM in ways that are consistent with our Guiding Principles and culture.
- Mentor, coach, and hold direct reports accountable.
- Responsible for product system metrics impacted by the performance and capability of the people.
- Align asset strategies in the product system/department and ensure that everyone has the capability to execute the asset strategy.
- Collaborate with performance and capability leaders, manufacturing engineers, training and development leaders, and other resources to build capabilities of technicians/operators/allocators.
- Ensure all team members have individual development plans aligned with the mill and paper machine goals.
- Accountable for labor cost, overtime, and staffing for the team.
- Identify and use measures (leading and lagging) that indicate how well the operating technicians are performing.
- Work with team members to understand critical risks and hazards, controls, and validations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Two years or more of supervisory experience (with direct reports) in a manufacturing or industrial environment OR three years or more of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Leadership experience within the paper and pulp industry.
- Experience overseeing 10+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification.
