Pay Range: $19-$21
Key Responsibilities- Operate high-speed packaging machinery according to established procedures and production schedules.
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and startup activities to support production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and coordinate with maintenance personnel for complex repairs.
- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate production records, downtime reports, and quality documentation.
- Adhere to all safety, GMP, HACCP, and company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Safely handle packaging materials, finished goods, and production supplies.
- Collaborate with team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
- Assist in training new operators as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with high-speed automated production lines.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand production documents, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Experience in food, beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or industrial packaging operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as required.
