Job SummaryThe Shift Leader supports the store management team’s daily operations of a Krystal restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in product preparation, customer service, facilities maintenance, and financial accountability. The Shift Leader partners with management to train and coach A+ talent to achieve key results in People, Customer, Sales, and Profit.
People- Demonstrate Krystal Core Values while assisting management in building high‑performing employees through training, retention, and recognition.
- Partner with management to execute the Performance Management process, ensuring employees are set up for success and held accountable.
- Drive a customer‑focused culture by resolving issues and training employees to meet or exceed service standards.
- Coach and hold shift accountable around core operational procedures using OSM and company systems.
- Ensure food safety standards are met through direct observation while running shifts.
- Partner with management to implement restaurant‑level plans and marketing initiatives.
- Execute cash, security, inventory, labor, and food control procedures during shifts and take appropriate actions to identify and close gaps.
- These duties describe the general nature of the role and are not exhaustive.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Serv Safe certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred with one or more years of restaurant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, overnights, and weekends.
- Travel may be required to other locations as business dictates.

- Lift up to 70 lbs frequently, including carrying products and boxes.
- Consistently handle product preparation, stocking, and inventory.
- Kneel and follow proper lifting procedures as needed.
