DescriptionUnder the close supervision of a supervisory official in a state department, agency, or institution, learns to perform front-line and behind the scenes customer and other support services involving the review, processing and issuance of agency documents; provides information to customers regarding department/agency programs and services; does other related duties as required.
Specific to the PositionCandidate will be responsible for providing customer service to the general public and performing clerical duties. The State Park Office is open 7 days a week year-round. Functions of the position include (where applicable), but are not limited to: registering campers, addressing issues with reservations, providing phone coverage, fielding complaints, collecting fees, selling State Park Passes and Park Merchandise, operating the toll booth, performing daily fiscal reports, compiling and submitting revenue and attendance reports.
* Due to nature of the role, this position is performed exclusively on-site.
Preferred Skill SetMicrosoft Suite, including Outlook. Customer service training and experience - ability to effectively manage high volumes of phone and in-person inquiries. Ability to provide good customer service.
LicenseAppointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
