Position: After School Site Administrator- IDEA Rio Grande City (Immediate Opening)

After School Site Administrator

Role Mission:
The After School Site Administrator will design and coordinate programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness outside of regularly scheduled school hours and days. Site Administrators (SAs) will ensure 100% of student and parent involvement goals are met by developing well-rounded programming opportunities in academic support, career and college readiness, and enrichment. SAs will work with campus principals to ensure after school programs enhance the vision and priorities of the school and serve as a business partner to other IDEA stakeholders, at the campus level, district level, and with external partners.

Functional responsibilities of the role also include adhering to data tracking, recording and reporting deadlines, and other requirements as set forth by the district and funding entity.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, Austin, Greater Houston, Permian Basin, or who are willing to relocate. This role will require up to approximately 15% travel annually. Typically, this will look like travel for team professional development meetings and/or large event support or meetings.

Work is primarily conducted between 9:30am and 6:30pm Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is an ESSER III grant funded role and salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $55,174 and $63,450, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.

IDEA may offer a relocation stipend to defray the cost of moving for this role, if applicable.

In This Role You Will Work With A K-12 Campus To:
  • Determine programming options that ensure consistent student attendance and are theme aligned to the curriculum being implemented at IDEA.
  • Invest campus leadership and staff in the importance and benefits of after school programming.
  • Recruit students with communication strategies that ensure buy-in from both students and families.
  • Recruit and train staff who will deliver high-quality, school theme-aligned programming to students.
  • Utilize data to re-recruit and follow up with targeted priority attendance students and families.
  • Work with and support counselor in determining and executing campus family programming needs.
  • Organize and implement quality family programming options monthly, with the support of the counselor or other campus stakeholders.
  • Communicate with vendors, as necessary, to ensure high-quality programming to families.
  • Develop clear and consistent communication systems with families.
  • Communicate the After School Programming vision to all stakeholders.
  • Invest stakeholders in the benefits of after school enrollment beyond the programming itself: academic success, character growth, college readiness, leadership.
  • Ensure students and families see alignment in programming to the themes taking place at the campus/their grade.
  • Ensure families and staff see after-school programming as a value add.
  • Ensure students and families have access to all four programming components each semester (Academic Support, Enrichment, College/Career Readiness, and Family Engagement).
  • Develop program opportunities that align to topics that are being implemented during the campus day/quarter/semester.
  • Utilize campus, student, and parent feedback to develop needs-based programming.
  • Ensure all documentation is collected, entered in database, and properly stored.
  • Develop organizational systems to ensure all attendance is collected and entered into the student attendance database daily and audited weekly.
