Project Accounting and Procurement Tech; Entry

Seeking an entry-level Project Accounting and Procurement Technician to support accounting, procurement, and administrative activities for a municipal operations contract, using a municipal ERP system to manage purchase requisitions, expenditures, and financial records.

Pay:$24.52 per hour

• Create and submit purchase requisitions;
• verify account coding and budget availability
• Track requisitions through purchase order issuance and payment
• Reconcile goods/services against purchase orders and invoices
• Maintain procurement, accounting, and financial records
• Track expenditures and assist with budget management
• Prepare financial and purchasing reports
• Research and resolve purchase order/invoice discrepancies
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and records management
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, or related support functions
• Experience with financial management or ERP systems
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with public-sector procurement or municipal financial operations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with municipal ERP systems
