Job Summary
Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
Responsibilities- Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
- Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.
- Assist with chart preparation.
- Assist with Admissions. Check in pre‑op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre‑Op nursing staff.
- Collect patient responsibility as determined by the Insurance Verifier.
- Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.

- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty‑five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
