Receptionist - Part-time / On-Call (Finance)Status:
Part-time
The Receptionist in an independent living, memory care and or assisted living facility serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, providing a welcoming and organized environment. This role involves greeting people, answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing administrative tasks to support campus operations and resident well-being.
Essential Duties andJob Responsibilities
- Warmly welcoming visitors, residents, and staff, providing information and directing them as needed.
- Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring prompt communication.
- Answering questions about the facility, resident status, services, and general information.
- Managing mail, packages, and deliveries; scheduling appointments; assisting with filing, data entry, and other light clerical duties.
- Keeping accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and appointments, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
- Facilitating communication between residents, families, and staff, and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assisting with transportation scheduling, guest meal coordination, and other tasks as needed.
- Ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and readily available.
- Other duties as assigned.
- One or more years of experience in a clerical position preferably in healthcare setting.
- Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents
- Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and staff.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- The ability to provide positive and helpful experience for residents and visitors.
- The ability to address issues and find solutions efficiently
- Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality and honesty.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimum assistance.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
