Job Overview

As an Electrical BIM Designer
, you will engage in design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads and team members. Working under the direction of electrical discipline or project leads, you will showcase your Revit expertise while meeting Jacobs and client BIM standards. You will create and manage content toward fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L) and produce 2D construction drawings using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.

• Provide design documentation and model setup for electrical systems.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other designers to achieve clash‑free 3D models.

• Follow client design and modeling standards, ensuring consistent application of building codes and specifications.

• Estimate hours required for design and modeling based on mark‑ups and verbal directions.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and construction.
• Understanding of codes, standards, and construction specifications.
• Basic knowledge of wiring/cabling connections and electrical device relationships.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

• At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience.
• Knowledge of data center environments.
• Experience with power, cable routing, and lighting systems.
• Experience with electrical one‑line diagrams.

Base salary range: $66,000 - $90,800 per year. Pay is hourly based on hours worked. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, paid holidays, caregiver leave, and company stock purchase program.
