Game Host, Mexico Goatheads

JOB TITLE:

In-Game Host

The In-Game Host serves as an on-camera and in-arena personality for New Mexico Goatheads home games and select team events. This position is responsible for engaging fans, introducing promotions, conducting interviews, participating in sponsored elements, and helping maintain energy throughout the event. The In-Game Host works closely with the Production Director, PA Announcer, and game presentation staff to execute scripted and unscripted elements in a professional and entertaining manner.

The ideal candidate is confident, energetic, personable, and comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and on camera.

• Serve as an in-arena host during New Mexico Goatheads home games and select events.
• Execute scripted and unscripted promotional reads, contests, interviews, and sponsored elements.
• Engage directly with fans throughout the arena.
• Conduct on-camera interviews with fans, players, coaches, partners, or special guests as assigned.
• Work closely with the Production Director and game presentation staff to ensure proper timing and execution of live elements.
• Review scripts, promotional details, partner messaging, and game presentation notes prior to each event.
• Maintain awareness of game flow and adjust delivery as needed based on timing and live event conditions.
• Represent the New Mexico Goatheads and REV Entertainment in a professional, positive, and energetic manner.
• Participate in rehearsals, production meetings, promotional shoots, and select community or team events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in live hosting, broadcasting, public speaking, entertainment, promotions, or a related field preferred.
• Strong on-camera presence and public speaking skills.
• Ability to speak confidently and naturally in front of large crowds.
• Strong improvisational skills and ability to react quickly in a live environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with fans of all ages.
• Ability to memorize or quickly understand scripts and promotional messaging.
• Knowledge of hockey and live sports presentation preferred.
• Ability to remain professional and energetic throughout extended events.
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the New Mexico Goatheads schedule.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others; move throughout the facility; stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods; traverse stairs, concourses, seating areas, and hard or potentially slippery surfaces; and operate or interact with production equipment as needed.
• Position may require frequent walking, standing, bending, and movement throughout the arena.
• Must be comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced live event environment.
• This position may require work inside or outside of a building and in varying temperatures or weather conditions based on event needs.
• Must be able to work extended and non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
