Job Overview

This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations to service members and their families.

• Provide full breadth of personal financial counseling services.
• Offer one‑on‑one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referrals outside counseling sessions.
• Consult with commanders or other providers and coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes (web‑based, secure online chat, video‑based) authorized by the OSD FINRED program office.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership, participate in supervision, and share trends and issues.
• Participate in in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required (Associate degree + 4years experience, or high school diploma + 6years experience may be considered).
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen; fluent in English (bilingual English & Spanish may be required).
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.

• Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Salary: $58,440 – $93,500 (base) with potential short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
