* Essential Functions:

*** Maintains floors by proper cleaning techniques which will include stripping, waxing, buffing, as needed.
* Reports maintenance needs.
* Adheres to Facilities Management policies and procedures regarding use of hazardous materials and exposure to body substances and utilizes/wears required protective equipment and/or clothing.
* Assists in cleaning all patient rooms and ancillary areas as assigned.
* Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and infection prevention standards.
* Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
* Completes required trainings, as assigned.
* Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
** Minimum

Job Requirements
*** Minimum

Education & Experience:

** Previous floor technician/environmental services experience required.
* Hospital environment experience preferred.
* OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation:
** None*Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
** Knowledgeable of appropriate healthcare environmental services procedures.
* Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
* Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection prevention standards.
* Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
** Physical Requirements Over the Course of a

Shift:
*** A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
* Lifting/exerting of up to 25 lbs.
* Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
* Ability to hear overhead pages.
