The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Rio Rancho, NM. This role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily venue operations, including bowling, games, food and beverage service, and guest experience management. The Assistant General Manager coordinates staffing and scheduling, supervises team members, and ensures adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring service quality, resolving guest concerns, supporting training and performance coaching, and assisting with inventory, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.
The role also partners with the General Manager on local marketing initiatives, event support, and continuous improvement of the overall guest experience.
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or restaurant/venue operations, with prior supervisory or management responsibility.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, including team coaching, conflict resolution, and performance feedback.
- Customer service and guest experience skills, with the ability to manage guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Operational skills in scheduling, cash handling, inventory oversight, and basic use of point-of-sale and reservation systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication with team members and guests.
- Ability to work on-site in Rio Rancho, NM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a high-energy environment.
- Basic understanding of safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards for public venues and food and beverage operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality, business, or management is a plus.
- Experience supporting events, parties, or group bookings is beneficial.
