Volt is immediately hiring for an Employee Relations Specialist in Santa Fe, New Mexico

As an Employee Relations Specialist you will serve as a trusted partner to employees and leaders, helping to foster a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace. You’ll provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, support fair and consistent policy application, and help strengthen our company culture through proactive engagement and relationship building.

Job Summary
  • Champions the employee experience by leveraging the company culture and values to ensure equitable resolutions to employee relations issues.
  • Provide expert counsel and support across US Locations to ensure a consistent approach to ER practices of Innova Solutions, globally.
  • Support US HR teams, offer knowledge and guidance when rolling out policies and processes and communicating policy changes.
  • Act as a policy counsel and subject matter expert for all HR policies to the US HR Partners.
  • Support US HR teams, offer knowledge and guidance on Employment Law related matters.
  • Support US HR Partners in Case Management – Handle sensitive ER matters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a policy counsel and subject matter expert for all HR policies to the HR Partners in the US.
  • Serve as the escalation point on policy matters, offer solutions to HR and other stake holders.
  • Support local HR teams in managing sensitive employee situations and to review instances of employee misconduct, including investigating and recommending disciplinary action. Reviewing the extent of violation. Ensure fairness and adhere to local employment laws.
  • Assist the HR Leadership team in reviewing matters received through the Hot Line.
  • Work with Shared Services to monitor and take appropriate action on compliance related issues.
  • Assess policy issues with respect to legal risk; work with legal teams to ensure compliance to and understanding legislation.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Experience in conducting internal investigations dealing with issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, accommodations, workplace issues, etc..
  • Requires deep skills in analysis and solving of complex employee matters.
  • Experience in leading critical conversations, using tact to diffuse high tension situations effectively.
  • Typically creates new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Employment and Immigration Laws as applicable in the US.
Job Demographics
  • Experience – 2 to 3 years’ experience in HR, having exposure to US ER / HR
  • Expected to work in the MT or PT Time zones
