Job Purpose:
This recruiter is responsible to build and maintain established and new applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits. This position will also make presentations to the above groups of people as well as high schools.
Assist qualified Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal members in employment opportunities with the Pueblo of Pojoaque Businesses by hiring, coaching and supporting their career growth.
This is not an entry level job.
Essential Functions- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients.
- Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Completes weekly report on employment activity.
- Acts as liaison with area employment agencies, college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
- May assist with screening and referring qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing.
- Responsible for adhering to applicable Pueblo of Pojoaque, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Excellent candidate assessment skills via telephone or face-to-face.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to learn and understand department policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of federal, state and labor laws.
- Proficiency using computers and software including Microsoft Office; social media, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Previous experience working with Tribal Preference in Employment preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
Education and Experience
- 2 years recruiting experience using networking and relationship building skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in working with a forward thinking team
- Ability to meet Gaming Commission hiring requirements
- Business casual dress
- Valid driver’s license required
5 0 % local travel required; 50% office
Some bending and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
Must follow safety precautions.
