Night Nurse; RN​/LPN

Position Purpose

The Night Shift Nurse (RN/LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a calm overnight environment. This position provides hands‑on nursing care, supports resident safety and comfort, and collaborates with the care team to ensure continuity of care throughout the night.

• Provide total nursing care to residents on the assigned unit during the night shift.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Communicate care plans, procedures, and treatments clearly to residents and families.
• Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Document care and resident responses thoroughly and timely.
• Give and receive detailed shift reports to ensure continuity of care.
• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident comfort, safety, and condition.
• Supervise and support CNAs, ensuring accurate daily documentation.
• Coordinate care with therapists to support 24‑hour rehabilitation needs.
• Record diet changes and communicate updates to the Dietary Department.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, in‑services, and staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program.
• Active RN/LPN state license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to professionalism and compassionate care.
