Pay Range:
Minimum $42.69, Maximum $56.55

Under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s).
Might provide direct patient care.
Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of all patients in service area.
The step-down Progressive Care Unit cares for a variety of adult patients and conditions who require monitoring but do not warrant ICU-level care. Many patients require continuous monitoring and complex 24-hour care while working with specialized equipment in a fast-paced environment requiring highly skilled, proactive, and dedicated nurses.
Collaboration, teamwork and attentiveness to the needs of each patient are key components to the excellent care provided to our patient populations at Rust Medical Center.
Qualifications- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Specialty certifications in area of practice preferred
- Associate Degree
- ACLS Credentials
- Registered Nurse;
Licensure:
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required - Degree from accredited nursing program (conditional status may be approved by system CNO)
- Additional requirements based upon area of service:
- CDS Inpatient
- Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
- Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
- Pediatrics/PICU: PALS
- Newborn Nursery/Mother-Baby Care/NICU: NRP
- Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring (permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others)
- Pre-op/Operating Room/PACU: ACLS, PALS
- Oncology Chemotherapy certification
