Role
Hemodialysis Team Leader responsible for overseeing chronic hemodialysis care, supervising direct patient care staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
ResponsibilitiesProvide daily guidance, support staff development, participate in staffing decisions, and maintain quality patient care. Assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and educate patients and families on dialysis and related topics. Supervise equipment use, perform dialysis procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with healthcare team members, conduct staff meetings, and participate in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications & SkillsRN licensure with a minimum of 9 months nursing and 3 months dialysis experience; supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, technical skills, and ability to manage patient care and staff. Ability to operate dialysis equipment safely and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
Additional DutiesAssist with staff hiring, training, and special projects. Promote efficient use of supplies and maintain documentation.
Physical & Work EnvironmentIncludes computer work, patient interaction, and travel between facilities. Exposure to healthcare environment with infection control precautions.
SupervisionDirect oversight of patient care staff and ward clerk.
EducationAccredited Nursing program and current state licensure.
