About the RoleNorthland is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to complete maintenance service requests and work orders, including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items. The role also involves completing apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner while working safely and efficiently.
Maintenance team members are required to handle after‑hours emergency calls and be on‑call as needed, including nights and weekends, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service when working with residents, vendors, and guests.
Qualifications and Requirements- Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
- All maintenance employees are required to have their own hand tools to carry out job functions; other power tools will be provided.
- Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed or to attend training classes.
- Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on‑call responsibility.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.
