Field Service Technician

Overview

EMD Electronics is hiring for a Field Service Technician. This is a challenging, hands-on opportunity in a growing business. The role involves travel to customer locations across the U.S. and possibly international sites, and requires installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of Gas Guard, Chem Guard, and Poly Flow delivery systems and associated support systems (pumps, distribution piping, and exhaust systems).

• Preform pre-task planning and equipment condition analysis prior to starting any work
• Be empowered to stop the job and escalate as needed
• Complete customer-requested tasks and document work
• Audit equipment and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed
• Report quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process
• Take ownership of NCE events and the RMA process to address equipment concerns promptly
• Complete all field documentation accurately and submit for invoicing upon task completion
• Provide solutions to customers for equipment configuration, maintenance, and operation

• 80% walking throughout the facility (5-6 miles per day)
• Ladder climbing up to 12 feet with fall protection
• Basic lifting up to 40 lbs
• Bending and overhead reaching
• Ability to recognize and respond to safety alarms
• Capable of traveling 85% of the time

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience as a Megasys Technician Level III or other Industrial/ Semiconductors experience
• 1+ years of experience with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Valid US Passport
• Valid Driver’s License with no infractions over the past 36 months

• Computer skills
• 5+ years of experience working in or at semiconductor fabs
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills (including low voltage and signal wiring - AC/DC)
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Team-focused and collaborative demeanor
• Willing to work alone or with a team
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Committed to safe and quality work environment

Pay Range for this position: $24-$40/hour. The offer range represents the anticipated base pay and is influenced by location, experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
