Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Oversee students and/or special education students on scheduled routes and excursions.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and legal requirements to maintain safety during transport.
• Ensure safety of special education students during transport, loading, and unloading, and properly secure medical equipment or assistive devices.
• Maintain student ridership rosters.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students.
• Use district-approved techniques to maintain order on the bus and enforce school safety standards.
• Enforce school system rules regarding student conduct on the bus.
• Assist drivers in preparing weekly reports on number of students, trips (runs), work hours, miles, and fuel consumption.
• Help keep the assigned bus clean and hygienic.
• Participate in mandatory state training and ongoing in‑service classroom training covering laws, policies, safe driving practices, driver‑pupil relations, emergency evacuation procedures, and special needs of disabled or emotionally troubled students.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Work hours will be in accordance with hours determined by the Executive Director of Transportation.
