Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising labor management and planning inbound and outbound operations, product slotting, and customer communication. Responsibilities include labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower management, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and issue resolution. The Supervisor ensures compliance with company service and cost objectives and oversees the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products.

Shift & Flexibility

Shift 5: 7am – 7pm (Sun–Tue, EO Wed). Flexibility with time is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Inform senior management and client representatives of critical issues affecting operations.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures for safe and profitable management of operations, equipment, and products.
  • Manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals.
  • Implement and report ongoing cost‑saving measures.
  • Meet client‑specified KPI’s and comply with quality system requirements.
  • Provide direction and support to Human Resources; assist in hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Have overall training and evaluation responsibilities for warehouse staff.
  • Plan daily work schedule by reviewing work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions.
  • Review pending jobs or trends, reorganize warehouse space, adjust supplies, equipment, or staffing as needed.
  • Train new staff or delegate training responsibility to experienced members.
  • Monitor quantity and quality of jobs performed and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Assign supervisory duties to leads for lower‑level warehouse staff.
  • Report progress or problems requiring attention to management daily.
  • Assist in physical operations as needed.
  • Deliver results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time.
  • Maintain a high degree of motivation in team members to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for team members.
  • Support adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train team members with corporate and client SOPs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • 3 years of experience working in a logistics, distribution, or related environment.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred:
    Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.
Certificates & Registrations
  • Completion of a forklift training program.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Business communication.
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate level for verifying product quantities, inventory counts, and other duties.
Other Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and timely job completion.
  • Good organizational and personnel skills.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and planning abilities.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and as required.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $66,500.00 – $72,500.00.
