Job Summary The Ready-Mix and Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for all sales and sales-related activities in the assigned territory, target and development customers. Related activities include customer care, monitoring market trends, forecasting and accurate reporting.

Compensation Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships with all people who influence the decisions regarding who supplies the customer Understand established models for pricing and quoting Develop and maintain a list of target and development customers and build strong relationships with them to meet new sales goals Meet or exceed new and retention sales volume goals In person interaction with customers;

requires possible interaction at offices and/or job sites, as necessary Gain and maintain a reputation for sound business acumen with business owners and decision makers Understand customer needs and set expectations correctly Track current trends in the national and local economy and understand the impact on the local ready-mix market Compile detailed competitive and industry information Assist customers and Quality Control to provide required mix design submittals Proactively maintain open communication regarding customer requirements and expectations to appropriate plant, dispatch, quality and management personnel Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned area Provide timely reports, i.e., monthly activity reports and expense reports, etc.

Assist Credit Department with collections Assist Dispatch Department in scheduling of customer deliveries Proactively work with Operations/Plant Manager to ensure product availability and conformity Maintain a high level of urgency to resolve any customer concerns/problems in a fair manner and to their satisfaction Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team Attend industry-related events and participate in trade associations, Chambers of Commerce, and local economic development groups Share expertise and experience with other sales team members

Education Bachelor's degree preferred

Requirements/Qualifications Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in the construction materials industry Ability to spontaneously discuss industry, market and product knowledge in a variety of audiences Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to influence and drive decision-making as appropriate Strong analytical skills Team-player both internally and externally Mid-level skill level with Microsoft Office Software, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint Clean driving record (for last five years);

must provide a current AZ Drivers License Must be insurable under company vehicle insurance program; will be issued company vehicle Must adhere to company drug and alcohol policy; will be subject to company random testing program due to safety sensitive nature of the position Preferred:
Experience with Public Entities (state, county, city governments, etc.) Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction products Familiar with CRM and customer contact databases Familiarity with ERP - SAP

Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
