Must meet the minimum requirements:

Three years’ experience operating a school bus, including some office or clerical experience.

Two years of experience in a supervisory role (preferred).

Associate degree or minimum of 60 units from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Business OR an equivalent to completion of twelfth grade with a combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities that have been achieved, along with passing of district proficiency exam. Additional specialized in training in school transportation or a related field is desirable.

Bilingual, oral and written in Spanish (preferred).

Prior experience working in a school district setting (preferred).

Possession of a California School Bus Driver Certificate and Class B-P Driver License.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California School Bus Driver Instructor Certificate, issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

A valid First Aid and CPR certificate

We are currently looking to fill one position Managing the River Delta USD Transportation Department. The office is located in Rio Vista, California and serves the schools in the communities in the Sacramento Delta.

Monday - Friday

8 hours daily

Position is Exempt

$64,196.00 - $78,954.00 annually

12 months per a year

Placement dependent on experience in public education

River Delta is a K-12 district with an enrollment of 1,880. The District has 8 small schools: (4) K-6 elementary schools; (2) middle schools; and (2) high schools serving the communities of Clarksburg, Hood, Courtland, Walnut Grove, Ryde, Locke, Isleton, Rio Vista, Birds Landing, and Collinsville.

River Delta Unified School District sits in three counties – Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo. Although it is a tri-county district, it is served by the Sacramento County Office of Education.

To supervise, assign, evaluate, and participate in the work of school bus and vehicle drivers; to plan and prepare bus and vehicle routes and daily schedules of employees; to transport pupils as needed; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Receives general direction from the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation and/or Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.
