Oil-Dri Corporation of America is seeking an MRO Procurement Specialist to support our manufacturing operation in Ripley, Mississippi. This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination for the maintenance materials, spare parts, and services needed to keep plant operations running safely and efficiently.
Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Accounting, and suppliers, this role plays a key part in ensuring critical materials are available when needed, managing inventory levels, supporting plant reliability, and driving procurement efficiency. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine purchasing, inventory management, supplier relationships, and operational support in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

- Partner daily with Maintenance, Operations, Accounting, and suppliers
- Build expertise in procurement, inventory management, sourcing, and plant operations
- Drive cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement process improvements

- Purchase maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) materials, spare parts, equipment, and services
- Process and manage purchase orders to support plant maintenance and operational requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure critical parts are available when needed
- Manage and maintain an organized parts room and inventory control process
- Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and other stakeholders to identify material requirements and delivery priorities
- Track supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Support sourcing initiatives and procurement projects focused on quality, service, and cost improvement
- Maintain procurement documentation including purchase orders, receiving records, contracts, bids, and related correspondence
- Ensure compliance with company procurement, accounting, and internal control requirements
- Prepare and distribute procurement performance and KPI reporting
- Utilize CMMS, ERP, and purchasing systems to manage inventory, procurement activity, and reporting
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and procurement processes
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field preferred
- OR equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory management, maintenance support, warehouse operations, or procurement
- Minimum of two years of inventory management, scheduling, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve operational challenges
- Technical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment and manufacturing operations
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- MRO purchasing or maintenance support experience
- Inventory management and parts room administration
- ERP or CMMS system experience
- Supplier management, sourcing, and procurement experience
- Exposure to maintenance planning, reliability, or plant operations
- This position is based onsite at active manufacturing and mine facilities
- Regular presence in processing, packaging, warehouse, and supply areas
- May involve walking, climbing, and working in varying conditions (heat, noise, uneven terrain)
- PPE required during plant walkthroughs, including steel toe shoes and additional protective equipment
