Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations with a strong focus on inventory and cost accounting. This role is responsible for balance sheet integrity, month‑end close, and internal controls, while partnering closely with operations to provide financial insight and decision support. The Accounting Manager will supervise a small team and play a hands‑on role across general accounting, AR, and AP as needed.

• Supervise two team members and manage month-end close activities; review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including valuation, reserves, obsolescence, and cost variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate accounting for inventory movements, adjustments, and cycle count results.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items and control issues.
• Provide oversight and hands‑on support for AR, AP, and general accounting activities as needed.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external audits related to inventory, cost, and general accounting.
• Partner with operations and supply chain to provide financial insight, recommendations, and decision support.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members; drive continuous improvement in close and accounting processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in general, inventory, or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Prior leadership or manager experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
