NIGHT MANAGER

Night Manager

As a Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and optimizing store operations under the guidance of the Assistant and Store Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the store's performance to drive sales, profitability, and efficiency across various operational areas including inventory management, expense control, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
• Establishing daily work assignments and priorities for store associates.
• Ensuring that the reporting and investigation of customer and employee injuries are handled properly.
• Consistently reacting to performance issues with corrective action.
• Assisting with stocking of product and facing of the store.
• Primarily performing all duties associated with nightly closing of the store but may also perform opening duties.
• Managing front-end operations (monitoring customer flow, opening registers as needed, and managing breaks/lunches)
• Performing basic housekeeping duties. (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc.)
• Operating manual and electric (18+ years old) pallet jack.
• Receiving and unloading truck deliveries.
• Managing health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities and staff and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant law.
• Managing upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, etc. on premises.
• Maintaining knowledge of total store operations.
• Assisting in carryout and cashier duties when needed.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by manager.

Work environment includes:

• May be exposed to all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, ice and wind) as well as, inside work with variations in heat, cold, dust, and humidity.
• Fast paced retail environment.

Physical requirements include:

• Moves, lifts, and carries merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequently reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting with or without bearing weight. Occasionally requires to climb and/or crawl.
• Stands or walks continuously throughout the shift.

Supervisory responsibilities include:

• Primary:
  Front End & Grocery Associates, 20-50 associates.
• Secondary:
  Subordinates of other departments, 10-50 associates.

Qualifications and other job requirements include:

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Minimum age requirement = 18 years old.
