ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In the performance of his job the incumbent will encounter: reading, writing, load computations, lifting, pulling, overhead lifting and pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, the use of power trucks, lifts and hand trucks.

• Must be able to locate, diagnose and repair malfunctions in the electrical systems of equipment using approved electrical practices and electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical portions of plant equipment.
• Install or repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switch boards, breaker boxes, circuit breakers, controllers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, lights and ballasts, or other transmission equipment.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, wire diagrams, schematics, or other specifications in completion of assigned duties.
• Be able to locate, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in the electrical system of equipment.
• Must be able to completely use a variety of electronics, hand tools, measuring equipment and testing equipment in the performance of his job.
• Do standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Ensure that all work is in accordance with relevant National Electrical Codes.
