Laboratory Technician I - Ripon, WI

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a Laboratory Technician I to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team at our Ripon, WI office. This is a flexible opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI provides construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction, with services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

• Perform Geotechnical laboratory testing to assist in soil classification
• Assist in visual soil classification
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
• Work with Project Managers to develop project-specific testing protocols

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of laboratory experience preferred
• ACI Certification preferred but not required
