Overview

The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing and maintaining sales of commercial laundry products within assigned accounts. This position works directly with the General Manager and/or Sales Manager of the assigned segment to generate and convert leads into sales.

Key aspects of the position include executing results‑oriented sales strategies, creating and maintaining business relationships, and providing pre‑ and post‑sales support while following Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards, policies, and procedures.

The assigned sales territory for this role is southern West Virginia and southern Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage company‑directed sales programs, promotions, and strategies to achieve sales volume and profit targets, using the full portfolio of solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and execute aggressive plans to visit and catalogue every customer's location within the targeted markets.
  • Survey each laundromat visited to identify equipment age, brand, mix, physical size, ownership, current revenue streams, vending pricing, WDF, vending machines, payment systems, and services offered. Complete an in‑depth review and present a compelling business case to the store owner.
  • Track information in the defined CRM database and follow up.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with accounts, providing training on product solutions, facilitating quotations, and providing general sales support.
  • Provide sales forecasts and manage the sales funnel.
  • Create and submit monthly site‑visit plans; evaluate opportunities for improvement or areas requiring further support.
  • Execute market blitz activities within assigned target markets.
  • Understand and explain all facets of vended laundry products, corporate marketing, sales strategies, pre‑sale and post‑sale support requirements, customer types, and purchasing motives.
  • Stay current on competitive activity, including products, promotional materials, sales techniques, pricing, warranties, and marketing practices, and provide feedback to the Product Business Partner and GM to help identify emerging market and customer trends and opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and present at sales meetings, regional meetings, and other events.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work experience in sales or account management preferred; recent college graduates with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities in a competitive market are considered.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude regarding machinery and equipment is highly desirable.

  • Sales and business acumen, including understanding margin implications of sales decisions and driving margin improvements.
  • Strong analytical and research skills; ability to translate technical product information into sales strategy, critically assess and problem‑solve, and self‑direct workload.
  • Strong diplomacy skills; ability to handle conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Organizational skills; ability to self‑manage workload and multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and create opportunities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; confidence in creating and delivering presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Resilient; ability to navigate ambiguity and change, with a strong work ethic and proactive, self‑initiated approach.
Travel
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory/territories as needed.
  • Some overnight travel will be required.
Standard and

Physical Requirements
  • Position may involve standing for long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. rarely; for greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
  • Regular computer-based work, with periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
