Electro Mechanical Technician 2 - 2nd Shift

About this positionWe operate with the highest level of integrity and offer a stable, successful manufacturing operation. This role is a 2nd Shift Electro Mechanical Technician focused on maintaining and improving our equipment.
Shift DetailsShift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday 3 pm–1 am
Compensation: $/hr to $/hr (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
Shift differential: $3.25 per hour.
Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring.
Responsibilities- Design, test, and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Direct the work of others in lower classifications, if required.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
- Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
- Interpret blueprints and work from sketches or verbal instructions.
- Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services, including panels, breakers, and conduit.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Perform repairs, installations, replacements, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
- Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader.
- Two‑year associate degree and 2–4 years of related work experience.
- Ability to use a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, sit, have manual dexterity, stoop, and bend.
- Pass a pre‑employment physical, including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
