Collections Specialist

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE)

A well-established family-owned business in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts receivable, collecting outstanding balances, and working within Quick Books to maintain accurate customer account records.

Collections Specialist

• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and past-due accounts via phone and email
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and collection efforts
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate account records in Quick Books
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Document all collection activities and account updates
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve account concerns
• Assist with general administrative and accounting support as needed

• 2+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Required:
  Hands-on experience using Quick Books
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor

• $20.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience
• Stable Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
