Qualifications- Valid New Jersey Certification Required;
Teacher of the Handicapped or ToSWD with subject area certifications - Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- To design and implement individualized, approved educational programs aligned with IEP goals that address students' academic, functional, communication, and social-emotional needs.
- To create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning, independence, personal growth, and dignity for students with multiple disabilities.
- To support students in developing functional life skills, communication abilities, and positive behaviors that provide a foundation for continued education and increased independence.
- To collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, related service providers, and school staff to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuity of services.
September 1, 2026 plus 1 day NTO in August
Working Conditions10 month, full-time, tenure track position
Salary Range$53,000 - $90,0000 commensurate with experience; with benefits
