Job Duties:
* Assists with the planning and facilitation of classroom programming and classroom coordination and organization for a early childhood education facility according to established curriculum
* Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom
* Updates and organizes individualized and developmental educational plans for children
* Assists with basic technical and administrative classroom support
* Documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma
Be at least
* 18 years of age and meet DCF 251.05 (3) (g)
* Experience working with young children.
* Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
* Able to acquire Registry Certificate at a level 5 or higher or eligibility to register at level 5
* Completed approved childcare course or willing to complete online within 6 months of start date
* CPR certified within 6 months of start date
* Successful completion of a post-offer employment test.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate degree in early childhood or related field
* Two years or more experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool aged children in a classroom.
* Knowledge of Department of Children and Families Division of Early Care and Education (DCF 251)

* Evaluates individualized and developmental educational plans for children in collaboration with other stakeholders, as needed
* Mentors new teachers and students

The pay rate is $18 per hour
The selected candidate must be able to pass a post-offer employment test.
A six probationary period is required.
