DescriptionCrystal Finishing Systems located in River Falls, WI has an opportunity as a Quality Assurance Technician. This 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday role plays a critical factor in our success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Inspect materials post-painting for quality issues (pinholes, runs, streaks) and accurately record data on reporting sheets and computer programs.
- Conduct quality tests (crosshatch, mil thickness, pencil hardness, cure, color, gloss) and report major issues to the Department Lead immediately.
- Understand the Quality Management System, including identification and labeling of non-conforming parts, and provide guidance to others on quality and production issues.
- Operate small hand tools and quality test equipment (calipers, gauges) as needed, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Establish efficient workflows based on products and tasks, and efficiently use quality testing materials, notifying when supplies are low.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
WHO YOU ARE
- Knowledge of quality inspection standards normally acquired through six (6) months experience in a similar position required.
- Must have good attention to detail in order to visually identify imperfections or defects.
- Proficiency with computer use including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Must have good data entry skills and accuracy.
- Previous experience with small hand tools and quality inspection tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
