Social Worker II - Falcon Links
Provides social work services to students in the Falcon Links program to support health and wellness. Evaluates, administers, or develops plans for students and refers students to appropriate resources. Participates in intervention planning of complex difficulties, which may include psychosocial evaluation and counseling of individuals or groups. May engage in psychotherapeutic activities under supervision.
Responsibilities include performing social, emotional, and environmental evaluations to determine intervention supports needed for students to remain in school; recommending appropriate individual intervention and support plans to support student retention at UWRF; maintaining student records in accordance with departmental guidelines and policies; facilitating interventions according to intervention support plans and organizational policies; facilitating individual and group counseling resources and programs; providing crisis intervention as needed or referring to appropriate resources;
providing referrals to establish coordinated intervention with community and state agencies; evaluating and assessing difficulties in psychosocial functioning in students; developing and implementing specialized intervention plans to support the psychosocial needs of students; providing short-term psychotherapy services to clients under general supervision if appropriate; participating in intervention programs alongside an interdisciplinary team to diagnose or enhance social functioning of students;
supporting program director in obtaining and managing grants/donations as well as providing direct services to students to maintain enrollment at UWRF; and may provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students.
Required qualifications include a Master of Social Work degree with 2 years' experience working with students in child welfare or juvenile justice settings. Able to work independently providing information, resources, and support to students and with supervision when providing psychotherapeutic services. Preferred qualifications include experience in Falcon Links program.
